The Restaurant La Soupière of the Hotel Schweizerhof takes its guests on a culinary trip to Sri Lanka on May 23rd. The Maître d'Hôtel Helmut Stadlober leads through the evening under the motto: "Helmi and his Sinhala team in the realm of spices". Sri Lanka and spices such as cinnamon, cardamom or nutmeg have a long tradition and used to be even more valuable than gold. The spices of the island have been used for all kinds of things for thousands of years: As medicine, as perfume, for refreshment and of course for seasoning food.
