5 great events at Food Zürich 2018

Food Zurich is almost here. From May 24th to June 3rd, Switzerland's largest food festival will take place in Zurich. The theme: "Sharing - Food is what unites us". We have selected five events for you that are worth a visit.

Romantic Evening at the Atlantis
At the Hotel Atlantis you can spend a romantic evening under the stars during Food Zürich. With rustling leaves and candlelight you can enjoy a 4-course meal with a watermelon soup, a beef flank steak and other delicacies during "Dining under the Stars". For reservations call +41 44 456 55 44.

Taste of Japan
The evening of May 25th at the Metropol Restaurant will be dedicated to the "Taste of Japan": A freshly caught tuna will be cut directly in front of the guests by a Japanese fish filleter and then processed into a multi-course menu. The marbled Toro piece of the fish's belly is very special and is one of the best culinary taste experiences. The exquisite meal is accompanied by a Nicola Feuillatte champagne. Healthy Cooking Workshop
As part of the Swiss Health Days, a healthy cooking workshop will take place on the 25th of May at the Greulich Design & Lifestyle Hotel. Participants learn to cook healthy menus with regional and seasonal ingredients that are also suitable for everyday use. The event is led by the well-known food blogger Lazaros von Laz and kochen. Kimchi Workshop
On May 26th guests can learn the art of kimchi making in Sherly's Kitchen. Restaurant owner Sherly, who has been preparing the Korean speciality for over 20 years, will lead the workshop. Kimchi in Korea is mostly produced in the community and shared with poor or elderly people. Thus it fits perfectly with the theme of "Sharing" at Food Zürch 2018. Vegan nomad breakfast
If you always wanted to know more about vegan noutrition, then stop by the Hamam Bazar on May 26th. There is first a discourse and afterwards a vegan nomad breakfast to enjoy. Lauren Wildbolz gives an introduction to vegan nutrition and the handling of food from environmentally friendly cultivation. Afterwards Lis Mijnssen gives insights into the vegan philosophy in relation to the consciousness of humans and environment.
